The 93rd Coxwold Cyclists’ service takes place this coming Sunday, 12th May at 1.30 p.m. at St Michael’s Church in Coxwold. This (short) very beautiful service was set up to commemorate the fallen of the First World War, but also to celebrate the joy and fellowship of cycling. It has taken place every year since 1927. All are welcome – those of any faith or none. Even if you don’t want to join us at the service, please come and eat sandwiches and cake at Coxwold Village Hall from 11.30 onwards – the local Women’s Institute raises funds by selling us their lovely home made food.
I believe that it is the Village Hall committee who provide the buffet lunch and the cakes afterwards, not the WI.
